How old do I need to be to get a tattoo?
The minimum age for a tattoo is 16. Board of Health Law requires that all minors (age 16-17) must come accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. We need an ID from the adult, an ID from the minor, and the minor's birth certificate. The name of the parent on the birth certificate must match the name on their ID. If the adult is a legal guardian, guardianship papers are required to prove legal guardianship. *This is a Board of Health Law and by no means are we able to bend or break this law. Adults, age 18 and up must have their ID to receive services, that's it!
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
When it comes down to it, that is what most people really want to know! Actually, getting a tattoo is not very painful nowadays because modern tattoo equipment is such that the needles go in and out of your skin very quickly. You'll be able to carry on a normal conversation while getting a tattoo.
What do I do if I need to reschedule my appointment?
Hey, we get it! Plans change. We respect that your time is important and we ask that you provide us with the same respect by letting us know as soon as you discover that you will need to reschedule. This allows us time to fill your previously reserved spot as well as book a new appointment for your valued business in the future.
What is a deposit and why is it asked for?
Creating a custom tattoo design takes time. Depending on the size and difficulty of your idea, many hours can fill the creation process to insure that the design meets your specifications. A deposit is needed in order to compensate the artist for their time and talent. Your deposit counts towards the price of your tattoo and is collected in cash form at the time of your consultation.
What if I change my mind about getting a tattoo?
That's okay! There is never any pressure to get a tattoo. If your artist has already created your custom design, your deposit will be kept to compensate the artist for the time they spent designing your tattoo.
Can I see the design on my skin before getting the tattoo?
Yes. We can make a transfer and apply it to check the location and size.
Can I get an existing tattoo reworked?
Yes. We can correct tattoos from other shops and homemade tattoos.
Can I get an existing tattoo covered up with a new tattoo?
Yes. We will work with you to get the right design to look good and not look like a cover up.
